I will always work for the price of one and get it to a price i am happy with then decide how many i want, as usually when they ask if you buy 2 or 3 for better price it is not always true.
Also I found most places started with ridiculously high price and told them they insult me and start to walk away, so I would counteroffer really stupidly low, for example they would start at 395,000 for a tshirt which i would then offer 20,000 and settle at 40,000.
Start off haggling with an approx limit in mind which if it got above thisi would walk away. Another good way is if you are at a low price and walk away and they dont come after you then you are too low, if you are around low to good price they will keep saying little bit more at this point i walk away generally to the next shop or slowly down the road, they will usually come after you or you hear them shouting ok ok at which point i either choose to buy or now know what is a good price for something.
I hope this helps. Like other say HAVE FUN ask turn turn helicopter on(Fan),always ask for free plastic bag and joke with them. You will build a friendships with certain markets and go back if price is right them you can get most shopping done in one hit at good price and someone you are comfortable dealing with.
