If you are around Kuta, Legian or Seminyak area nearly everybody seems to go to the beach, fireworks etc, a real party atmosphere.
A word of warning! where ever you go for New Years make sure it is within walking distance of your hotel, traffic is chaotic, some taxis finish early because the streets are chock a block full of people, cars and bikes.
