Lots of little kids ride their bikes to school every day. I rode a bike lots of times on my last visit to Bali but I made sure I rode early in the morning before the crazy traffic started. The worst thing was trying to take a right turn at an intersection. Part of the fun and feeling of freedom for me was riding without a helmet but I wouldn't suggest you let your daughter do that. There are some great rides if you go into the ‘sticks' to explore the villages but getting lost could be a problem.
