that your room has already been allocated as Desi usually does this when bookings are taken. I always request a ground floor room when doing the booking as asking later is always too late. Contact the hotel direct and see if you can find out which building you are in.
Location you prefer depends on whether you would like to be close to either of the pools or in a quieter area. S and SG block are the newer ones (about 3 years old), Y block looks over the bigger pool and has balconies but only access is by the corridor at the back of the room, B block looks toward the bigger pool from a different angle and A (closer to the pool) and NS block are in the area that leads down to the restaurant and the beach. All rooms at KP are the same unless you have booked a Junior Suite or Ambassador Suite. Lovely hotel.
