In $US but charge in IDR.
One problem is that the exchange rate can be the "Hotels" exchange rate and not the official rate which causes you to pay more Dollars than the advertised rate.
You should always contact the hotel before you book to confirm the actual rate of exchange that they charge when you check out.
It can be worse with some on line booking agents who advertise in Australian Dollars because once booked the itinerary shows in US Dollars, then you pay at the hotels exchange rate from IDR into US Dollars.
My last hotel in August was advertised at $74 AU per night inc but cost me $82 AU per night due to the hotels exchange rate.
You can pay for your hotel in $US Cash and it will cost you the same as the advertised price, but if you pay by card or IDR Cash then you will be charged IDR converted from US dollars at the hotels exchange.
