We argued the point on prices but they would only honour the old rates on the rooms we'd booked and would not budge on the last week spent in the different category room, arguing that they had to charge the new rate "because it was renovated" and because our printed email didn't cover that particular room with the old prices being agreed to.

The fridge was only missing when they had to change room and they claimed they just had none available and nothing they could do.

We'd had another run in with the dragon at the front counter over the day the room change was supposed to happen. They had originally said to change on a particular day, which we agreed to. That morning arrived and they said to change the following day, as they had booked the new room for another person that night. No can do as we had a day trip to Lovina planned for next day. No problem, she says - following day is OK. So as we head out to meet our driver to go to Lovina she asks if the room is already empty. What?? "You say you go Lovina for one night so room empty now and you come to new room tomorrow".

So it was on over that arguing over what she claimed we;d said. She called us liars to our faces and even tried to convince the driver (in Indo - I could pick up some of it and the driver filled us in later). She didn't count on the fact that our driver is also a friend so he knew what to believe. We had said a few times it was a day trip gone all day, but she obviously heard "overnight" in there somewhere in her own mind,

It got sorted in the end but it was one hassle after another with my parents booking.
