Thanks to forumites for your help. Have decided to book elsewhere - bit disappointing as we really enjoyed our last stay here - thought new rooms were good value, but after 15 trips to Bali I know I would hate not having a pool. Still waiting for reply confirming the pool is out of action - probably not game to tell me!!
