just like to reply to a few. Yes, we were on the phone with regards to the problems. I too have stayed with foreign animals before, but not rat poo on the kitchen table every day and night, perhaps where you come from that's OK, but in the majority of the world, its not under any circumstance. As far as the location goes. It's a taxi ride into Legian or Kuta for shopping at the markets. There are only boutiques in that area. I like to support the locals when I go. I find that most of the boutiques are foreign owned. Other than the villa, we all had a terrific time, didn't do much sightseeing, we've seen most of the island over the 20 years. Did however go to the Balinese Cooking School at Echo Beach. What a great day that was. Great view of the ocean and met a lot of new people (7 in the class), would definitely do that again next year. Also came across a good Indonesian restaurant just of the bypass road. Fantastic food and great service. Obviously not well known by tourists, we were the only English speaking diners. Can't remember the name, but you sat in little huts surrounded by a lake with the biggest fish I have ever seen, bigger than the ones at Bali Garden. Nothing but Indonesian on the menu, but great seafood. Just to finish. We stayed because we had already paid in full. The owner was French and didn't give a care about us, but Adya who we dealt with was great and don't get me wrong, the housekeeper Made was also fantastic, she can only work with what she has. Finally, yes I am Australian and proud of it.
