We stayed at Uma Sapna on Jl Drupadi in June with our toddler (great villas!) and found it a good location, easy to walk up to Jl Laksmana ('Eat Street' aka Jl Oberoi., Kaya Ayu) which has great food, mini marts, spas, pharmacy etc. A little bit hairy on the roads with a pram (Drupadi is a bit winding and narrow) but this is true for much of Bali! And we managed just fine. Also it is very close to Raya Seminyak for shopping, and you can walk down to Camplung Tanduk/Dhyana Pura street for fun bars, food etc. Taxi to Carrefour and Geneva Handicrafts is not too far and if you want to go out at night and go upmarket, you're a very quick taxi ride to Ku De Ta, The Living Room, La Lucciola, Hu'u etc..although these are expensive places to eat and drink! We actually preferred Trattoria, Khaima Moroccan, Kuni Japanese and the gay bars on Dhyana Pura... but to each their own. Have fun!!
