"up market" restaurants have lost a bit of their appeal with me. my wife is indonesian (married last march) and when we travel back, we made a deal that she picked for lunch and i picked for dinner, because obviously she is use to the warungs, well i have to admit that after a few days after eating lunch at the warungs the "western" or "higher" class restaurants that i picked started to lose appeal to me, so much that when we go back in March (after the arrival of our baby boy) i will be more than happy to give the forementioned retaurants a miss. it is not the fact the food is at least 50% plus cheaper but it tastes so good and the service is always spot on.
