We send money with NAB all the time...for business.
Always send in AU dollars..the exchange rate at that end is better than in the street...and pick the day you send money as rates fluctuate on different days.
NEVER let NAB send it for you in rupiah!!!..you will get sooooooo ripped off!
If you send early in the week you can get it in Bali the next day...later in the week they will hold onto it till after the weekend...
The rate of the AU dollar against the US dollar is a myth....actually getting 98 or 99 cents for 1 US dollar isnt available to us normal people....you will probably only get like 89 or 90 after exchange rates and being ripped off by them all ( they are all bast**ds)..the trick is not to get para about it.....anything over 8200 is pretty good...you did ok.
Think about getting a debit card...the NAB and other banks can have great deals on them if you have a housing loan thru them.....no bank charges even, for withdrawing cash, anywhere in the world and you can access it thru internet banking.
cheers
