Specifically ask your doc for typhoid vaccination as well as any others he/she recommends. If you do a forum search for typhoid you will be amazed at the results - several if not many people have contracted it in Bali. My husband recently cut short his trip to a remote surfing place elsewhere in Indonesia as there was a typhoid epidemic there - had a scary few days until his tests came back clear. It can be a life-threatening illness that should not be taken lightly.
I wouldn't bother about malaria meds in Bali but do use mozzie repellent at ALL times to avoid Dengue Fever.
