We always get a Mentari card, we pay 50,000rp for the card and get 100,000rp in phone calls, total 150,000 rp.
I do believe you can also buy the card a lot cheaper at supermakets?.
You can get a special prefix number which allows you to ring Australia really cheap and text OZ for around 15 cents.
Our phones lasted 2 weeks before top ups.
