It's actually quite a nice looking wall..it just blocks off the view to the beach from the road & cafes etc along that strip.
The old wall was lower & closer to the road.
This one is further back & so the road is marginally wider for parking
I suppose it's all to with the development of that strip up to Jln Melasti with all the new hotels, condos, shopping centres, entertainment complexes like Pullman, Stones, Sahid, KutaBex being built.
The sand blowing onto the road during certain times of the year is a problem..so I guess now it won't be able to get up n over the wall :)
This is about the only point I could see the beach ..on the cdorner near Hard Rock
