First night in Bali the boss's mate chose a restaurant just down from Febris on the other side of the road. It was Warung something but cant remember the name. Very average food and probably the priciest night we had in Bali. wont be going there again.

Queens of India - outside Dynasty hotel. Love the food, ambience and the price. We ate there 3 times it was so good. I recommend booking or you wont get a table unless you are early. Mains around 50,000rp a bottle of Hattens was 160,000rp.

Thai Express (?) Tuban - ate here on our last night. I was full of the flu and counldnt taste anything. The boss assured me it was divine as he tucked into all the dishes we ordered and pretty much managed to eat the lot himself! Toilets there are lovely. Hard to explain but each toilet opens out to a large rectangular pond that runs the length of all the toilets. Each toilet has a wall so you cant see the person next to you unless you peer around the wall. Mains about 50-60,000 and were a good size.

Chi-Chi's Mexican Tuban - kids wanted mexican so we took them here for lunch - they have an airconditioned room at the back so we went in there. Food fantastic around 40,000 for main (enchilada) the kids felt like some salad so we asked for a side serve of lettuce, carrot and grated cheese. They brought out 2 huge au gratin dishes full and we only got charged 14,000 for that!

Possibly the best indo food I had was at a little warung called Warung MD down the little alleyway where I got skittled. the best and hugest mie goreng I have had in Bali (over about 30 trips now) I couldnt eat it all and I tried my best. 24,000 for the mie goreng and about 14,000 for a small bintang.

Drops - Padma Utara - we went here after a couple of drinks at Billys one night. Boss had ribs "to die for" about 70,000 and I had chicken with a creamy sauce - was very nice and the kids loved the pool table and wanted to go back the next day. Ambience lovely but service very slow.

La Walon - poppies 1 - had lunch here twice - best spring rolls ever for about 15,000. Boss had Nasi goreng which he loved and all up food was great and cheap. Definately would recommend this place.

Mades Warung - 11 of us went and apparantly my food was the only good food served. I had chicken kebabs it was yummo. Everybody else said they wouldnt be back. Also you have to pay to use the toilet if you arent eating there. i thought that was a bit off. Especially for anybody racing in there with Bali belly - having to get your 3000rp out before you use the dunny - not good!

Neros - Legian Rd - this was the place that "P" paid for us to have a night out. Considering he did run me over and almost killed me - I was not too proud to accept. When we arrived I thought "oh crap this is going to be really pricey and I will be making sure I dont order the most expensive stuff here" it was very elegant and looked quite posh.

Surprisingly the food was very reasonable with mains from about 40-60,000. Hatten was 180,000 a bottle. I had pate for entre (wonderful) the boss had salt and pepper squid - My boys had pizza and chips. For mains I had snapper in a creamy wine sauce with turned vegetables cooked perfectly and the boss had a thai curry. This was the best food we had on this trip. True we didnt go anywhere really flash because of the kids but this place is a real find. We will definately go back.

Daddys - next door to Febris - we ordered a bunch of appetisers there and I had a kebab. The others food was really good as well and pretty cheap.

That pretty well sums up everything that I can remember.
