we didn't like the Novotel in Tanjung Benoa at all. I think the rooms have been upgraded since we were there, which would help, but we still wouldn't return. Our room was musty, had several things not working (safe, TV, no towels until we asked for them 2 days in a row, etc). Others swear by this hotel, so I know that others must have had different experiences there (or perhaps different standards), but ours was decidedly ordinary. We found when we were there that the breakfast buffet was pretty ordinary & both times we had it was had to ask for items to be restocked as there were many empty dishes. Perhaps they were understaffed when we were there, but it was bad enough so that we checked in for 5 nights & checked out after 2. We've never done that before. As I said, I'll probably be shot down inflames for being honest about our visit there, but we can't all be happy with the same level of service and hotel maintenance. Cheers, Sue.
