fantastic snorkeling, we'll be there again on Tuesday for five nights .... have stayed two places, Taman Sari is nice, very spacious grounds and some snorkelling straight out from the beach there, the highlight is Menjangan Island snorkeling. The other place we have stayed is budget Jubawa Homestay, still very nice, clean, no probs, but no pool or beachside, but ok if the main aim of your trip is the snorkeling trip. You can always go and have a bintang or two at the Taman Sari or other places nearby and for a fee will let you swim in their pool. A few warungs along the main stretch run by locals, so if we stay at Taman Sari we eat at the local warungs to give them support. Have spent a New Year's there and the locals put on a fireworks demo it was great! Book early for Taman Sari, their standard rooms were all booked out 7 months ago!! Rooms 23 or 24 have views down to the sea.
