The restaurants across and up the road are all good. Casablanca a favourite because of the lovely ladies there but wouldn't knock any of them. Mini, La Mer, Pavilions, Sea Queen, Casa Mia all good. Further up the road opposite the Peninsular is a new one that Wharfie and Rorope put us on to, The Tree, excellent tucker, great menu and a huge choice of beer and ales. The framed photo's in the back room are well worth a look at. If after a few days you feel as though you need a good steak or pork ribs to die for Tropical Restaurant at the traffic lights in Nusa Dua on the LEFT before the Nusa Dua gates. The hotel has the phone number,( I can't find the card.) They offer a complimentary pick up and return and thinking on it I think The Tree do one too.
Good cultural entertainment at the hotel 6 nights a week, free cocktails on Tuesdays. Watch out for the Mossie Sprayer on Thursday arvo, it comes in clouds and stinks but they give a warning first.
Only lasts a little while, rather that than bites.
Traditional market in the village if you are an early riser. Buy a couple of fish for lunch for around 16,000 rp and get then cooked in Coco's on the beach at Novotel. If you are in doubt about going find the beautiful Utari at breakfast and arrange to do a visit with her, she's there every morning. ( You might even get invited for Kopi.)
Wonderful ambience, thoroughly enjoyable but you may not want to be up at 6am.
Water sports, Apollo, down the lane at the side of the Peninsular or walk along the beach to it.
Nice walk along the beach to the Bali Collection, or use a Novotel bike or use the complimentary shuttle bus on the hour at 10 past the hour.
Hardy's have a supermarket up on the by pass, cheap as chips, they were just starting a service in July, you might want to check it out to see if it's running. Not sure if it's pick up and return but it certainly is a return.
There you are and for that I expect you to upset at least half a dozen Northern Europeans with sneaky and sly towel diversions !
When you find Wabawa ask him about Amlapura, ask Utari if the school uniform fitted my (adopted grand son), that way they will know who you are talking about.
Safe journey.
