This has come up before, if you are giving to Balinese in Kuta then Okay, they may like the Aussie them, but I have asked my Balinese family and friends (as a request from a formite) and they cannot for the life of them understand why they would want anything with an Aussie flag or reference to Australia, sorry guys but unless they have some association with Australia, ie: work in tourism in Kuta/Leigian, why would an orphan care about an Aussie flag. I'm on Aussie and they don't care about that. I still have in my office drawer the following items: 50 cent pieces, koala bear clip ons, Aussie flags and an Australian football theme pack thingy (all of these were rejected by our Balinese kids, they don't understand them nor care to). Towels (preferably without an Aussie flag on them) are the most requested items by any of the poorer families in any of the regions I work in, woman wear them so they don't really want to wear a flag on their head, shoulders etc. (the towels here are not of good quality and very expensive so they love towels from Western countries for the quality).
