We had some newbie friends with us who didnt really understand the 'promise rule'
He bought a guitar while over there and we spent several nights chilling with the beach boys, playing guitar and singing, over a few bintangs and watching the sunsets. Well after a few drinks, our friend promised made his guitar when he left.
A few days later I heard him promise ozzie, from a different group of guys, the same guitar. Well our friend left for oz and told me to give the guiar to ozzie, which i did.
Several days later we were about to leave and my 14 yr old son josh came back to our resort from the beach quite distressed. Made had asked where the guitar was and josh told him i had given it to ozzie. Needless to say, made was upset and josh noticed immediately. He raced off to the guitar shop and priced a guitar at 500,000 rph and then ran back to us at the resort for his wallet and to tell us he was buying made a guitar. I told josh it was his decision, tho not his fault. I returned to the shop and explained that i needed a better price as josh was buying with his money that he had saved up for a year. The guy did the deal at 300,000 rph and josh trudged off down the laneway once again, to present the guitar to made. Well made saw him coming 'josh, where did you get that? who is it for?'
'Its for you' josh replied 'I felt bad you missed out and i bought it for you'- 'FOR ME? SERIOUS? OH JOSH.... I CANT BELIEVE IT!! ITS NEW! OH MY GOSH, etc etc With Much hugging and people gathering around- ETC Well josh was a dribbling mess and i joined in. It made Made sooo happy and his reaction tipped me and josh into blubber land. 'I dont know why im crying' josh said, and i replied, 'because you made someone so happy!'
It was a very proud moment i can tell you- i have a special boy x
