Last arrival was Sept 1 this year and wanted to 'top up' above my 1L. Had a good squizz upon arrival but saw no duty free available. I had been told that when they introduced the 500% tax on alcohol, that the airport corporation would not allow incoming duty free provisions. To me it's like, if you arrive duty free-less then you have to pay top dollar on the streets, yes?
With the alcohol tax, VOA and exit tax, no public transport, (some)restaurants 'price fixing' even basic meals, and the Balinese ripping people off(it is now them, not 'historically' the Javanese) Bali has become so less attractive now. I had 3 future bookings, PER-DPS, with Airasia prior to my trip last month, and if I hadn't have made these, would not go back.
If there is any interest from you forumers, I would be happy to post a Bali/Langkawi(or Malaysia in general)/Vietnam price comparison outlining drinks,transport,accom.
