Just back after another fantastic 3 weeks. This is our tenth trip - one a year for the past 10 years. I'm usually too lazy to write a JBR but I've got so much great info from this forum i need to give something back.
We had a week at Sanur for a conference at Paradise Plaza. We love Sanur but PP is pretty boring. I do like the D&G shops and Paul Smith for shirts,t-shirts and jeans. Did the usual restaurants - Mings, Bonsai, Cat'n'Fiddle etc..... all good.
Then a week in our favorite place for relaxing - Candi Dasa. Visits to our favorite old restaurants Aquaria and Le48 did not let us down - Just awesome! We found three great new restaurants in CD:
1. "Joglo" in the main street next to Indomart. Great atmoshpere, great service and staff and really good Indo and Western food.
2. "De5" pronounced "de lima" - a locals chinese food warung opposite Bali Palms Resort, soooo cheap and sooooo good. 8 dishes for 6 people for lunch (everyday) was about $8 total!
3. Seraya Shores (30mins north of CD, just out of Amlapura) www.serayashores.com. You need to book for lunch or dinner, its a set menu, different everyday, just depends on what the chef buys at the market. Amazing food and location Rp100,000 per person.

Our last week was in Legian at Puri Damai. The secret is out. It's just harder and harder to get into this place as it is such great value for money. We had great fun watching (the first) AFL Grand Final at Cafe 66 on the corner of Double Six. Had great lunches at Warung Murah everyday (we love that place). An amazing dinner for 4 at The Pearl cost us 1.6 million. Enjoyed a couple of sunset dinners from the bar/deck of the Outrigger. The little Borneo cafe (forget its name) just down from Puri Damai was great for a red chicken curry. And a new discovery:
"Mang Enking" and amazing seafood restaurants of small huts over water. A fantastic experience.
Jalan Nakula 88 (the extension of Double Six east of SUNSET ROAD)

I would phone a book first to make sure you got a "hut".
Most taxi drivers know where it is. We loved it!
Did some great clothes shopping in the shops in Jalan Kunti (the street where the Bali Deli and Prada Spa are). Lots of great clothes shops but my favorite was "Pegasus"
Flew Air Asia out of the God Coast and had two great days in KL on the way home. Planning for next year......
