hi,
there are a heaps of good eating places in Jalan Padma and the gangs off it.
One of the nicer ones is Mozzarella which is towards Jl Legian but if you dont go early you will have to book. Good food, reasonable prices.
Joni Restaurant, (Legian Village Hotel) has live bands and Balinese dancers depending on the day of the week and a pretty good and varied menu. It is also good for lunch and they have a long happy hour for cocktails. They have indonesian, mexican, european and snack type stuff.
Legian snacks is in Jl Padma Utara which runs behind the Padma resort and is great for a variety of cheap snacky type food as well as meals.
The restaurant next door to it towards Jl Padma is also good and quite cheap, but I always forget the name.
Indo National is quite good and it is nearer to Jl Legian, has a range of meals and is quite popular.
We have had some not so good meals and service from Wayan and Friends and Drops but others rave about them. I guess its luck of the draw but, as there are so many good places about, we won't be going back to either of them.
Take 44 is a japanese restaurant opposite Posers and has pictures of all the items on the menu and the staff will help you choose if you like. We have been there several times and some of the items on the menu are so delicious ! (dont be tempted by the chicken skin tho, it is dreadful....)
Bianca is nice, decor and menu and they also have big screens so you can watch sports if you want while you eat.
Haven't been to Posers on the corner of Jl Padma and Padma Utara but others like it.
As I said, there are heaps of restaurants around that area and all are pretty good, none are that expensive and all are friendly.
