As I was part of Sandybears group (Not 1st timer, 25 times in fact) the 1st timer after buying his watch finally decided after 7 or 8 days of his 14 day holidsy to swimm in the hotel pool, took watch off before swimming - all OK.
After swimming that day went & showered & dressed for dinner. Came out of his room making his way pass the pool to meet up with our group for dinner, slipped beside pool & rather than falling on the concrete opted to fall in the pool with watch on, camera & phone in pocket.
Jumped out as quickly as he got in there emptied pockets, we pulled memory & sim card out of phone & camera. After drying out Camera is working again, phone not working & his watch from Eric bekieve is still working.
I was sitting on my verandah watching this unfold.
Thankfully 1st timer didn't get hurt in the fall.
