Just pack it in your hold luggage and remember to count it as your alcohol allowance back into Australia. If you are talking about the scam that Bali airport has of taking it out of your hold luggage just stand your ground, make sure if it is opened that you have it in a sealed bag and wrapped well in case it breaks though.
If you are talking about not being able to bring it back because it's in your hand luggage then you are correct, the same 100mls rules apply, you can have 100ml bottles in your hand luggage, up to 1 litre in quantity and in a see through plastic zip lock bag to be shown at all checkpoints. Of course if this is drink then it still needs to be counted as part of your alcohol allowance.
