Just back from 18 days at Kartika Plaza in Tuban
We always stay at this hotel as we always get very good service from all of the staff and enjoy the location and facilities at this hotel.

Highlights this trip was the day out at the Safari park having visited this place about 3 years ago we were very thrilled with the new elephant trek through the animal enclosure past Rhinos Zebra Wilderbeast and other animals last time we were there the ride was about 10 minutes this time it was for 30 minutes.
We chose the Rhino package all inclusive meals, trek and hold the baby Tiger and Orangutan which cost us $80 USD pp. we got a discount from MBA tours saving $19 per person.
Definately worth taking the time to visit as it is one very memorable day out.

Restaurants

We ate at some of the regular popular restaurants and overall the meals were very good.

Ultimo in Seminyak 2 times.
I had some of the best seafood pasta I have ever tasted and the other members of the group had meals that were very good their menu is extensive and the evening was very cheap and this included their wines.(you need to book on most nights.)

Queens of India Tuban
We always enjoy this restaurant and we were not disappointed this time food and prices again very good.

Hitana restaurant at the Niksoma hotel Legian.
We went with a large group of 30 people to celebrate my wifes birthday and everyone was very satisfied with the settings and the menu
This place is newly renovated and the sister restaurant to Mozzarella and is 2 levels so you have a beautiful view of the sunset and the bay.
The menu is the same as Mozzarella very good food and the coctails are 2 for 1 all night and they dont hold back on the ingredients.
Prices are very good average $20 Aud. per head for entree and mains.
We went back to this place again before we left as some of the group wanted to try different meals they were told about from the others.

This place will definately get more busier once the word gets out .

Our most special meal surprisingly was from a night out with our Bali friend who took us to a restaurant called.

Warung Klumpu Bali on Jln Cargo Permai No.48A Denpasar Ph.9277488
www.warungklumpubali.com

This place is away from the main tourist area but transport can be arranged free for group bookings.
The menu was authentic Balinese with spices and sauces unbelievable in taste the food menu prices is about half of the tourist areas
We had Soup Pork spare ribs Chicken Prawns Sqid Pippies Fish and salads the table was full of food and I thought this was not going to be cheap but at the end of the night after one of the best feeds of our holiday it cost about $10 per head we nearly fell over when we seen the bill.

The Impala restaurant next to Kartika Plaza Tuban
This has new owners and they now sell Indian food it has been renovated and the place is attracting good crowds again after many years of average food it looks better and the food is good.

More to come
