After I read the book I decided to track down Ketut Liyer myself. This was about 3 years ago. When I mentioned this to a friend in Ubud who runs Yoga Retreats and gets guest from around the world and mostly women, he said don't bother. He has had many many clients that came to Bali because they also wanted to meet Ketut and most were very disappointed. The last group of 4 women that went to see him (and again this was about 3 years ago) said that he did a 'group' reading for them and told them all the same things. They did come as a group but otherwise did not know one another, except that they were attending the same Yoga Reatreat in Ubud.

My friend said that he had gone 'Hollywood' which might be a good description. I did not want to be disappointed so I passed on seeing him and was happy with my decision. I've since seen another 'healer' in Bali who was amazing but is getting quite old so he is not working too much now.

I also see that the Four Seasons Hotel is offering an Eat Pray Love package and includes a visit to Ketur Liyer. Woner how much that is costing the clients???? I'm sorry to say that I think they will be disappointed with their visit and I hope it doesn't make them feel ripped off. I guess if you have enough money for their package though, maybe it's not a big deal!

Cheers,
