Airfares - Booked
Accommodation - Booked
Knee Surgery - Done 2 weeks ago
Take-Off - 29th Sept
I posted on here a couple of months ago looking for budget accommodation for me and 2 teenaged sons (14 & 17)... I had booked airfares and then suffered a work injury and was looking for budget accommodation... the good news is that I have booked 8 nights for me and the boys at Bali Sorgawi for around AU$50 per night including breakfast. TA reviews are good and they were happy to guarantee a ground floor room... will see what it's like... all we need is clean comfy beds and an air-con (pool is a wonderful bonus)......
This will be my 10th trip to Bali(1st trip for 1 boy and 2nd for the other), but it will be super budget this time, with around $800 spending money for tours, meals and shopping for all 3 of us for 8 nights... but it's Bali and I know we will have a great time :)... Just hope my knee holds out otherwise the poor kids will be hiring a wheelchair to push me around!!
Have booked a driver for a day to show the boys some of the "Real Bali" away from the touristy stuff..... If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated, we are going to incorporate an orphanage visit where the boys can "hang out" with kids and share some life stories...
I have my friend, Ayu, @ Legian markets to help me out with any of my shopping needs (or wants :) but would love some suggestions of great value restaurants/warungs for me and the boys to try... I usually stay in this area but have never really taken too much notice of restaurant names or prices paid (that is gonna change this time)
In return for all your help I intend on posting a JBR on how to live like a King on a paupers budget in Legian :)
Thanx in advance Lee
