know how much danger I was in living in Bali. Agree, the Aussie media is extreme, but then no Aussies would panic and put postings on here so I could panic.
Seriously, some of the things that are put on this site are not even mentioned here. when the Bali Bombers were due to be executed my girlfriend in Oz sent a very frantic email saying if I did not reply to an email soon she was contacting the Australian embassy, I sent back to her what the hell drugs are you on, and she got angry and told me I must have had been living in a bubble as it was on every news channel. "what news?", oh, Australian news channels, sorry we only get the Indonesian news here, oh, sorry is this Indonesian news? It really was not a big deal here, and 10 days after the event our Dutch family read a small section in their paper and mentioned it, it was a 5cm x 10cm piece, HUGE news in the rest of the world obviously.
