- credit cards/debit cards are the only official form of payment on any Pacific Blue flights to Bali and Phuket only
- standard ATM cards are not accepted
- the reason behind this is to help with correct reconciliation of sales, and to speed up the food and beverage payment.
- it has been in place since november 2009 for bali/phuket only
- cabin crew can be quite strict with the policy, although individual crew sometimes bend the rules.
- they will accept cash, but only in extreme situations, as it clearly displayed on the itinerary and in the booking conditions
- the credit card only rule as payment onboard these flights for food and beverage has been so successful that they will probably roll out the policy across the whole VB/PB network soon
- most airlines esp in the USA (southwest/jetblue/virgin america etc etc) ONLY accept credit card payments onboard. So i think they will follow that lead
