Just a quick trip this time - Popped over to surprise our very dear Balinese friends who just became grandparents for the first time. Baby boy born to their beautiful daughter Nia. The highlight of our visit.
We stayed at Kuta Townhouses (great accommodation). I love the space in the apartments, but do prefer to stay up Legian end.
We ate at some great places - TJ's (Mexican), Kuta Steak House (great food - a shame the staff can't smile a little), Basil Leaf (fantastic food, really cheap).
Great night out (several actually) at Uncle Norm's in Legian - a party to celebrate 13 years in business. Love the staff here - always make us feel so welcome.
The other highlight of our visit - We went to the Ubud Birthing Centre to drop off a few suitcases of baby clothes etc. The staff at the Bumi Sehat Foundation are wonderful.
Robin works so hard with fundraising for the centre but the mission has just become more impossible - they have lost the Aus Aid Funding for the moment so are relying on donations to keep the centre open. We met Jacinta (Mid wife from Aus). She has just completed 13 months at the centre, but sadly... due to the funding cut has had to return to Australia.
If anyone has baby items, or wishing to make a cash donation - this is a wonderful cause.

Now I am home I am madly trying to get together another load to take to them when I return to Bali in four weeks.
