it's one persons view as to a place of accomodation.
JJ is entitled to a view, as is everyone else.
In some areas I agree with the comments made, and in others I have to say that I have had a different experience.
That also is normal I think.
I am surprised that there was a fair bit of negativity about the food, as I have always found it to be excellent, however we are inclined to lash out and go for a full breakfast, and for us anyway, it beats any other full breakfast in the area hands down.
I am not a great evaluator of orange juices, but JJ obviously is judging by previous comments made on aircraft orange juice.
Again, it's a matter of opinion, but I don't get too wound up over orange juice.....and find mixed or mango to be a more reliable choice anyway.....no huge deal.
People do need to be aware that when staying at privately owned apartments such as these and some others mentioned on this forum, each apartment is fitted out in accordance with the owners requirements and budget.
Where owners stay themselves a fair bit of the year, the apartment will probably be better equiped than one that is simply an investment for the owners. This is what accounts for some differences in the way the places are furnished and equiped, and also accounts for the "counting" of things, as those chattels are actually owned by the apartment owner and not the management group operating the facility.
I agree about the grassed area around the "round" pool, as this area can get waterlogged from time to time.
The staff have changed a fair bit over the last couple of years, and some of the old favourites have now moved on for various reasons.
This is a shame, because familiar staff become part of the "vibe" of the place for regulars, but I am sure that the newer people will settle in soon enough and they are a friendly group towards guests and visitors.
Is KTH good value??......past, present and future bookings would indicate that it is, but again value is in the eye of the beholder.
And at the end of the day I guess that we are all "temporary residents",it's just that some are more temporary (and fussy) than others.
