the way some Australians behave. Have been 3 times and quite embarrassed by the way some Aussies carry on. It's like they look down on the Balinese...that the Balinese are just there to provide cheap buys and cheap food.
I think we can learn so much from the Balinese...they take life much more slowly, are not bogged down with stress and they treasure the simple things in life like family and their beliefs. And....they could show the rest of the world a thing or two about recycling...everything gets reused somehow.
We are always really friendly to the hotel staff and now get rewarded with big smiles and this year, hugs as they are remembering us. We are guests in their country and should be grateful they strive so hard to ensure we have a great time.
A pity a minority spoil it for the majority..but there have been times when I have been ashamed at the behaviour of other Aussies.
