was our first ever stay in Bali in Nov 1989... first overseas trip, wow what an eye opener... remember getting to KBC walking past the bar and bumping into a friend...ohhh what a relieve... to know someone in this very foreign country.
Remember eating breakfast at Dayu I as the breakfast at KBC was awful... also remember running back to room holding my nose, trying to escape the smells of sewerage from the big open pits in the footpath.
Meals at TJ's (still enjoy eating here), Poppies and the Southern Cross.
Shopping only at Kuta Beach Markets, and Peanuts Pub Crawls.
We usually stay at the Niksoma these days and have our afternoon bintangs at the Corner Bar (near fairy shop) Nakula is across the road and I visit the lady who lives there with her two gorgeous children... never new it used to be a hotel.
Fond memories... hope you have a wonderful anniversary!
