Un's off Poppies 1 for Carousel of Ravioli (it is just a superb dish), or snapper with potato scales and always creme catalan. Frozen Margaritas are cheap & OK. Agung's in Poppies 1 for the best Club Sandwiches. Ultimo in Seminyak for lovely Italian-style food at very reasonable prices. KuDeTa for brekky but not on Sunday - family day (unless you have kids).
Tropical Bale in Ubud for superb food with a very reasonable set menu at lunch time & lovely rice field views. Visit the Neko Art Museum almost across the road.
All these places are excellent value.
Ketupat used to be great with quite authentic Indonesian dishes. Ate there for yonks. Last few meals (at the restaurant behind the now sadly closed Jonathan Gallery) were ordinary at best. We won't go there again.
Also, The Balcony (owned by Mr Un's) is very good.
I only used to eat Indonesian food in Bali but there are now so many restaurants there serving the sort of cuisine that would cost heaps here in Perth. For lunch I go for warung food & I indulge for dinner. And, oh, the delights of warung food.
