thanks Hillary, the reason I asked on here is that I'm a bit dubious at times with the Trip Advisor reports (mind you there were more positive than negative on there), first hand experiences, like yours, are more what I'm after, I'll give it a go and see if I to can become a friend or sycophant, as these smaller, friendlier, budget style places are more my cup of tea as well.
