We (2) only take one suit case over. Suit cases can weigh > 4-5 Kgs empty, that still counts as part of your checked baggage weight. We buy all our toileteries etc from Bintang Supermarket or other outlets. When we come home, we usually buy a couple of Bali bags. We have to because the Bride just Looooves to shop! The cloth types that weight < 2kgs. They range in size 1 - 6 (I think), from handbags to very large sporting equip bag sizes. Suggest you do a Forum search for more info on Bali Bags. I take a roll of Duct (plastic)tape with me to tape around them, as the zips can be a bit fragile. Easy to access for Customs if required. Never had any problems with them breaking or tearing in transit. On arrival at home we give the bags to the Rels as a gift.
