There is a big difference between Sanur and Kuta.
Sanur is very quiet in comparison to Kuta. Sanur is actually a favourite European holiday hub. No partying in Sanur, no nightclubs and everything usually closes by 11:00pm.
There are quite a few good restaurants to try out in Sanur with a mixture of international cuisines.
Shopping is more limited in Sanur (and more pricier in my opinion).
If your after a change of scenery from Kuta then go for it.
There's always a nice cool breeze every evening down at Sanur beach....No sunsets in Sanur, but the sunrise is nice.
