there is probably more "wildlife" to be seen around the streets of Kuta/Legian/Seminyak than there is around the Balinese bush !!
The tigers are long gone and deer now mostly restricted to the Bali Barat National Park in the North West (Home of the Bali starling that is pretty much extinct too).
Monkeys are probably the dominant wild mammal species about the place and there are small squirrels and any number of rodents ....probably not exactly what you are looking for.
Seeing animals in the wild on a "spontaneous" basis is probably not much of an option, although there are the Safari Park or zoo type options for elephants reptiles and birds etc.
In the water it's a slightly different story and there is some action, although again it's not the Great Barrier Reef.
Regarding Komodo, there have been some previous posts on this and you may wish to conduct a "search the forum" to read what peoples thoughts were.
