There are some free maps available in money changers and in pockets on some poles. Not so sure whether they go into too much detail. Some of the lanes are quite narrow, only the width capable of taking a person and a motorbike alongside. The best thing is to explore and find lanes. There is a lot of life and commercial activity that goes on in the back streets. However be careful of bag snatchers and dubious people after dark.
