A bit over the top to say "fine balancing act through out the aircraft" & "extreme danger we are putting our flight into".
Whilst weight & centre of gravity is important on smaller aircraft, on aircraft with seats of 60 or more the actual weight of passengers & baggage is of little consequence. In fact they don't even use the checked baggage weights that are taken at check-in. They work on averages for passengers & baggage. So they have no idea of the exact weight on board of any given flight. The biggest danger of overweight carry on is if it falls out of the overhead locker & hits someone on the head.
