Budgeting maybe ~$1500 USD to spend over two weeks (incl. food + hotel + activities, etc.).

What I've never done, but would love to get into is surfing, so any area where a beginner could get going with that would be great. Also looking to scuba dive once or twice. I'd also like to see some cultural landmarks, the many temples, rice terraces, etc. As I said I'm sort of looking for suggestions on more things to do/see/where-to-stay as this trip is kind of a quick getaway to use up my days. But I will be traveling alone so I think that's a big consideration (a lot of the activities, etc. on tripadvisor.com for Bali are for couples/groups).

(p.s. I've noticed a lot of posts on here about restaurants/food, I'm not much of a "foodie" so even though I'd like to try some of the best food spots, it isn't even a real consideration for me)

Thanks!
