Left Perth at 9.30am on Saturday with my 5 year old son in tow for 2 fabulous weeks in paradise, we flew Jetstar and I was interested to see how they were as we had never flown with them before. I chose my seats at the very last row as you board 1st, getting off last doesnt worry me as im on holidays and am in no great rush...we had no one behind us and no one next to us which was great. Our flight was on one of the new aircrafts which were quite nice, the seats were very comfortable but the only problem was being 6ft tall my legs were jammed against the seat in front of me. I did consider paying for extra leg room but the flights were only about $250 for the both of us so couldnt really justify paying an extra $80, it was good there was no one next to us so gave me a chance to stretch out. There were a few guys in front of us who were complaing about the leg room and that the seats didnt recline but as I said to them its a good thing as I dont know them well enough for them to be sitting any further in my lap :)
Arrived around 10 mins early at about 1:05 pm and I was pleased with the plane as it shoots out a fine mist (like alot of the restaurants over here) from the roof so its very pleasant while waiting to get off. I was a bit worried about the VOA line I had read a few horror stories but decided to wing it, Im pretty patient so wouldnt have minded waiting. I was so suprised when I got there it was pretty much just our flight so got my Visa, bags and was out the door about 20 minutes after getting off the plane. The line for the taxis was another story but arrived at Bali Garden at around 2pm.
We stay here every year, great location and the pools are great (especially the pool bar lol) so always enjoy it.
Decided to go to Carrefours to stock up on the essentials like water, coke, snacks for my son etc and silly me forgot it was Ramadan so on the way home the taxi ride which normally takes about 15 mins took 1 hr and 40 mins! There was traffic EVERYWHERE but I didnt really mind we had a little sleep in the back of the cab :)
Ate dinner at Bubba Gumps, didnt enjoy it as much as usual but the service and atmosphere is always excellent.
Havent really done alot the past couple of days, ate at Indonational which is always quite nice and am now sitting back and enjoying Starbucks (yummo) Off to Waterbom tomorrow, only been there a million times but my son is looking forward to it.
Will post JBR when we arrive home on the 25th, thanks all for reading!
Megan :)
