I know of someone that got to the airport in Sydney recently and Jetstar didnt pick up that she only had 5 months left on passport. and when she got to Bali they sent her back on the next flight that night and she couldnt leave the airport.
She went straight to births deaths and marriges the next day in Sydney and they issued a new passport within a few hours (you have to pay more for this service)
so she flew out back to Bali again the next day.
But if you are going in the next couple of days I would say you will be able to get it before you travel.
