Left Perth at 9am Sunday 5th September flying with Strategic Airways. No complaints with the flight, great breakfast and arrived early in Bali. Straight through customs, no problems, then taxi to the Kuta Lagoon Resort. Haven't stayed here before but lots of good reports on Trip Advisor and this forum. We were not disappointed, had a great room, a pool access room overlooking the bar. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Would stay here again.
Used the spa for a body massage and facial. Very good.
We are three ladies travelling to Bali for the second time together for shopping, fun and laughs. We went to the usual shopping haunts, Discovery Plaza, Carrefours, Garlic Lane, Oberio Street, Matahari, did a lot of walking up JL Legian towards Seminyak, checked out the shops on the way. Animale was a favourite. Silverberry another. Bought a lovely green leather bag from Tommys, it is an Oroton copy. Only 495,000R. We had a day at Waterbom Park and another day spent at Anika's cooking class. The cooking class was excellent, I have just made Nasi Goreng and the carrot and cucumber salad, yum.
On our second last day the girls decided to get eye lash extensions and to have their feet nibbled at by piranah like fish. Not my cup of tea so I went back to the hotel for a swim. Three hours later the girls arrived with their eye lashes plumped up and their feet so smooth. The next morning the day of our departure a couple of their lashes were coming out so back they went to the beauty salon for a quick fix. They are supposed to stay in for two weeks to a month, I have my doubts.
We left Bali on Strategic Sunday 12th at 2.30pm and arrived in Perth at 5.50pm. Excellent flight with good food and wine. The only down side was our arrival into Perth with queues everywhere, no organisation, so people were pushing in where they should not have been. It took us nearly an hour from our luggage pickup to the customs area. It was quicker in Bali.
We enjoyed our trip so much that we are looking at travelling again next year to Bali for our girls getaway.
