Besakih is my favourite place to stay in Bali, its not flash but the location and beachfront are fantastic. We have only stayed in a standard room, when you mention the bathrooms, well, the first time our bathroom was pretty ordinary and the next time it was ok. Again nothing flash. The bungalow rooms are quite nice from what I have seen of them and are freestanding up through the property. We ask for the standard rooms in the two story blocks of two rooms. They have quaint thatched roofs and big verandas. The pool is beachfront and there are many nice places to eat close by.
We looked at a superior room at Pearl, it was very nice,not a huge room on first appearances, but a big bathroom and dressing area and wardrobe behind the wall the bed is on and a big day bed on the veranda actually made it quite a big space, It looked like a very nice property with an inviting pool, location on Double six was nice and central.
