We are doing exactly this in September but the difference is that we knew about it from the time of booking. we are flying into Denpesar on Friday Morning and out at lunchtime. We did our homework and found out that we had to pay the VOA and depatrure tax. Does this worry us ? No because it is still a lot cheaper than any other airline we could find.
Mind you we are returning in a weeks time to holiday in Bali and will hve to pay it all again - - so be it!!
If these are the rules then go with the flow - - you are still in Bali and haveing a great holiday
