... and provided both sides of cc - doesn't make me nervous at all as the thing with credit cards is that you can easily dispute a transaction with the bank if you haven't authorised it and the onus is on them to prove you have authorised it. Scallywags gave us a booking form to go along side and this gave the amount & dates we had authorised. In the past I've had some unauthorised transactions on my credit cards (one for faulty goods returned, one for a hotel that charged for 2 nights when we only stayed 1, one for a charge from someone I had no idea of!) and its never a problem to get these reversed - in fact I think it would certainly be a lot easier to get $$ back than if you have say paid upfront (paypal etc) and the service isn't provided. (and worst case scenario most banks will happily cancel your cc give you a new number)
