this nasty little infection reared its head in bali last year with many balinese and tourists alike coming down with a really nasty infection it was dubbed - Red Eye!Its highly contagious and spread quickly when it was around last year six of my friends travelling with me ended up with it as did the hairdresser(aussie)I go to in bali!It needs attention as soon as it appears we had nurse with us travelling(a friend)and she got the ones infected some antibiotics(precautionary only)and some eye ontiment from the chemist there that all the balinese recommended it cleared things up pretty quickly.But some who did nothing and came home with it had it for at least two weeks, so hygene with hands and please dont rub it when it first starts to be itchy and no visine or eye wash it makes it worse and iratates it to the max.Ice is good to stop itchy feeling and take swelling down and wear sunnies in the sun it makes it twice as bad!There were a lot of people wearing sunnies at night when it was last around!!!
