There were a number of offers to purchase Golden Bali but as my name had been solely associated with the business for 22 years I felt it best to just wind-down after stopping bookings at 30th June and keeping the doors open until all clients had received their documentation and tickets.
After a period in Bali followed by almost two years in North Sulawesi as GM at Lembeh Resort and Chairman of North Sulawesi Tourism Organisation, I have now lived in Jakarta since October 2008.
After supporting Garuda Indonesia through its "roller coaster ride" over almost 22 years, I was delighted to see it receive the Skytrax award for "World's most improved airline". What would make me even happier though would be to see Garuda Indonesia return to Adelaide and service South Australia with a couple of direct services each week. Who knows..................
